Lisa Mays was my lawyer against a company where I had worked for 35 years and was injured while at work on 1/7/2008.  My injuries were significant and required several surgeries.  My company had told me I would always have a job, but that was not to be the case.  Instead my company let me go in June of 2009.

It didn't take long for the company to just leave me to fend for myself.  The company told me to apply for unemployment, but then did everything they could to delay me from receiving my benefits.

I sought the help of Lisa Mays, who didn't push me to sign on months earlier as other lawyers had.  Lisa's fees were also far less than other lawyers I had talked with.

Lisa went out of her way to make sure that the settlement that I received was fair and would aid me in the future financially.  It didn't stop with just the settlement.  Lisa continues to answer my questions and to assist me with medical bills as well as to recommend another lawyer to assist me with obtaining Social Security Benefits.

I can't thank Lisa enough for all that she has done for me and would highly recommend her services to anyone who requires assistance with a work related injury.  -S.F.

Pierobon Mays Wins Over $120K for Client

January 2012 - Attorney Lisa Pierobon Mays wins over $120,000.00 for her client at hearing against Walmart.

The case involved an injured worker who suffered a mid-back injury moving a box of product off a shelf in 2009 while working at Walmart.  Worker underwent a fusion surgery with excellent result and no lasting pain symptoms or need for medication.  Walmart refused the claim citing it was a pre-existing injury per MRI finding.

Attorney Pierobon Mays filed for a hearing with the Department of Workforce Development claiming, among other things, over one year of lost wages, 10% permanent disability to the back, medical bills, and mileage.

At hearing, Walmart called it's orthopedic doctor and a Walmart area manager to testify.  Both were rigorously cross-examined by Attorney Pierobon Mays.  The Department found injured worker's orthopedist more credible and deemed the injury, while pre-existing, aggravated beyond its normal progression due to the lifting of the box at work.

Attorney Pierobon Mays looks forward to her next hearing against Walmart involving another injured worker in March 2012.
